FAMILY AFTERNOON SAUSAGE SIZZLE

Residents and their families enjoyed getting together and having a bit of fun at our annual Christmas sausage sizzle, whilst our dedicated staff at Brookland did the cooking, Judy took on the role of BBQ chef and cooked those sausages to perfection.  The grandkids had a great time playing an indoor game of cricket.  Great way to start off the Christmas season.

READY FOR CHRISTMAS

Why go to the Post Office when it can come to you.  The girls from Sunnybank Plaza Post Office put on a great display at our December monthly morning tea.

With Christmas Carols playing in the background and cake, shortbreads and mince tarts to enjoy, Residents were able to relax and browse at the gifts galore for friends and family this Christmas, without having to fight the crowds at the shopping centre.

Brookland Residents helped celebrate with Alec Smith on his 98th birthday.

Lunch patrons were all treated to a delicious birthday cake made by our very own staff at Brookland.

Alec has been a long time resident here and has made many friends along the way.

Community members are welcome to come along and enjoy our meals cooked on the premises 7 days a week.

RESIDENTS 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

What a pleasant afternoon Brookland witnessed last Sunday with the celebration of a diamond wedding anniversary.  Bill & Gwen were childhood sweethearts having met when they were only 16 years old.  The Community Centre looked lovely decorated in the colour of their wedding.

They were also presented with a signed card and photograph in recognition of this achievement from Her Majesty the Queen.

Congratulations to Gwen and Bill.
