Combine Australia's most successful Olympian Dawn Fraser and one of Queensland's iconic events, the Stanthorpc Apple and Grape Harvest Festival, and you have a recipe for smashing success.  
Dawn, a legend of the pool, was also a hit at the festival, attending many events and talking to both locals and visitors.  "I think it's very good for Stanthorpe. We've had a look around and spoken to locals" she said. "The festival brings a lot of people and money into town."   Dawn was also able to enjoy Stanthorpe apples and red wine, one of her favourite drinks during the three-day festival.

Whilst Dawn attended the event as the Ambassador for Live Life Villages, she was also happy to be involved in other activities and to pose for photographs.  The Seniors Concert on Friday and Saturday's grape crush were highlights for her.

Live Life Villages visits Stanthorpe for the Apple and Grape Festival

Live Life Villages was well represented at the recent Apple and Grape Festival in Stanthorpe. 
With in excess of 40,000 visitors to the festival, we met up with people from Maroochydore to St George and south to Casino,
providing an excellent opportunity to talk about the benefits of living in a Live Life Village. 

Dawn Fraser, our Ambassador, was with us and was invited to join in to encourage celebrity participants in the Grape Crush Competition.

Golden girl

As a “World Athlete of the Century” winner, Dawn Fraser has seen many battles fought and won, but nothing quite like the grape crush, which is a major attraction of the Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Harvest Festival.
Dawn will be attending her first Apple and Grape Festival this weekend and is looking forward to being the Master of Ceremonies (MC) of Saturday’s grape crush.
“It will be interesting because I haven’t seen anything like it before. I think it will be just a fun event to see,” she told the Southern Free Times.
