 BROOKLAND SINGERS
The Brookland Singers as they are known entertain us at many functions we have throughout the year, including this year’s Art Prize weekend where they definitely had our visitors and guests singing along to all the old tunes. CONCERT DAYOur Residents once again enjoyed our monthly concert group of the Apollo Mens Choir. The Social Club helpers go to a lot of effort to make this monthly event a success.  GARDENING AT BROOKLAND
Brookland’s newest staff member Allan has joined the team as our full time gardener and doing a wonderful job. With around 12 acres of grounds he is working throughout regenerating and mulching. With spring upon us the beautiful gardens and particularly the azaleas are in full bloom worth a visit to come and have a look at our beautiful villas and gardens. We thank Allan for his expertise and pride in making our gardens look so good.. MORNING TEA AT LANDSBOROUGH Brookland residents enjoyed a picnic style morning tea at Landsborough last Thursday morning following their visit to Landsborough Museum, many memories were experienced with articles on show and the way life was. What a benefit we at Live Life Village now have, Live Life. Following from their stop residents were able to enjoy the scenery while on their way to visit Life Life Villages’ Textile Exhibit at our Maleny Grove Village. The first day of spring indeed lived up to its name, bright sunshine and blue skies, the perfect day for a bus trip. September 10, 2011 |

 SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT BROOKLAND
Seniors week was celebrated at Brookland Village on Saturday with a combined effort from both Centrecare Amelia House and Brookland. The community centre was at capacity with over 200 visitors coming along to enjoy the wonderful concert by various senior choir groups. Bruce Paige was MC for the day and together with Kaye Smyth our Live Life Manager and Rosemary Poulgrain from Centrecare it made the afternoon a great success.September 3, 2011 |
